More variables available in the statistics portal

The Swedish Ethical Review Authority has expanded the information available in the statistics portal by adding new variables: Principal investigator and collaborating researcher for initial applications (Ethix).

The purpose is to further improve the ability to analyze and gain an overview of the clinical research conducted in Sweden. With the new variables, users can more easily identify the individuals involved in a research project.

The chief investigator is the person with overall responsibility for the research, serves as the main point of contact with the authority, and is the person research participants should be able to contact with any questions. Collaborating researchers may be affiliated with the responsible research body or with any collaborating organizations.

In the API, each individual is also linked to a unique identifier, making it easier for users to match names with the correct person within their own organization.

The variable application received date (i.e. the date the application was submitted to the authority) has also been added and is now available.
